I want to buy some self defense products, mainly pepper spray. I see a ton of different sites out there with all kinds of crap and am not sure which one to buy from. I need something that will last a while and is the best bang for my buck.

I saw a news story in the Chicago area about a guy who invented a better kind of pepper spray in which it is held in a fist and the button is pressed at the top with a thumb. The spray comes out the bottom. It is supposed to be better than other pepper sprays because you don’t have to find the hole (like a hair spray can) and risk spraying yourself. I remember he was head of a sexual assault agency and invented the product. I can’t find it on the web.
