No,to me it is more like a sirloin or London broil, best if cooked slow on indirect heat, its been my experience that if cooked to fast the meat shocks easy and gets a little tough. still good anyway.

Honda…You must take meat of Black Bear …not bad roasted….Grizzly..Brown…Polar,,, Rarely Ever eaten…
Bear steaks taste a lot like beef steaks (if it is prepared right). It’s amazingly good, quite possibly my favorite steak! Roasts and burger taste a little more like wild game. They aren’t greasy at all. When you fry up a pound of burger, there is ZERO fat in the pan. The texture is a little different though…..but excellent!

I did heard that cougar meat is also very good and tastes a bit like chicken. I´m not sure if it´s true but I did really got surprised about that.
